| Protective Behaviours WA Inc. |
Protective Behaviours WA Inc. is a small not-for profit organisation working to promote the safety of everyone in the community. The organisation, which is managed by a committee of volunteers, was established in 1990 with the support of the WA Police Service. To date the committee has concentrated its efforts on providing protective behaviours training to professionals in the education, health and welfare sectors. However, the committee is now moving to provide the program to other sections of the community, in particular, the elderly, children, adults (particularly parents), teenagers and victims of crime. |
| Background |

The program is designed to assist older persons overcome their fear of becoming victims of crime by identifying and practicing ways to feel safer in our society. |

Understand the three core concepts of safety, early warning signs and networking and know how to apply them. 4. Have information about home security and crime prevention techniques. 5. Identify protective behaviours strategies that will help them solve problems. 6. Be able to tell at least one other person about protective behaviours. |
